Celebrating 100 years of success

Assessment

At the beginning of a school year, each teacher will send home information outlining the curriculum for the class for the year.

Each child's progress is monitored continuously by a variety of means. Parents will be informed of their children's progress by:
(a) A twice yearly interview with the child's teacher: first prior to Halloween and the second during February.
(b) A written report on the child's progress completed by the class teacher at the end of June.

In addition there is formal end of Key Stage (Primary 4-7) assessment in place with results validated by CCEA ( Council for the curriculum, examinations and assessment). Results of these assessment are included in the end of year reports for these children.
