Visiting the School 
It is the aim of Crumlin Primary School to involve parents in the education of their children and to inform them as fully as possible about their children’s progress. The arrangements for consultation are :
BEFORE ENROLMENT
(a) Entrants to P.1. We hold an induction day in June, so that the children can spend time in their P. 1 classroom and meet their new teacher and parents can find out about the school routines and curriculum.
(b) Entrants transferring from other schools.
Parents are welcome to view the school. An appointment will be arranged with the Principal and your child can meet their new teacher and class.
(a) Parents are invited to come to the school on an appointment basis in the Autumn term and again in the Spring term to meet their child’s teacher.
(b) Parents are invited to the school to take part in such activities as
carol services, concerts, assemblies and events as they occur.
(c) Parents are entitled to discuss their child’s annual pupil profile report with the child’s teacher and may take up this option if they wish.
(d) Parents of children who will be transferring to secondary education in 20 10 will be invited to an interview in February 2010 to receive advice and guidance on the completion of the Transfer application form.
Crumlin Primary operates an 'open door' policy, which means you will always be made welcome in school. The principal and other teaching staff are not always available during the school day. You can, however, arrange an appointment through the school office:
(a) Emergency - Parents should approach the school secretary who will arrange a discussion with either the Principal or Vice-Principal.
(B) Non-Emergency - Parents should contact the school secretary who will arrange an appointment with the class teacher at a mutually convenient time.
